Bet the Minnesota Vikings
The Minnesota Vikings disappointed a lot of their fans last year, when after a 5 win streak, they lost their final two games of the season. However, their 8-8 finish was an improvement of their previous year. Adding to this is the positive sign of the Vikings owner, Zigy Wilf who has expanded his team's budget.
The best of the Vikings offense is their offensive line. The success of their running backs is pretty much thanks to this strength. Their quarterback, Tarvaris Jackson has a way to go before he is true Super Bowl material, but if he does improve, and we believe he can, there is a chance the Vikings might make the NFL 2009 Super Bowl.
Even though the Minnesota Vikings finished in the last place of the NFL for pass defense last year, they do have some pretty impressive defensive players. Kevin and Pat Williams (not related) were one of the top tackles in the NFL. Their line backing corps are also an impressive bunch, including Chad Greenway, EJ Henderson, and Ben Leber. One of the main concerns of people betting on the Vikings is the injury danger this team is in. If any of their top players gets hurt, they really don't have any good choices to replace them.
Another big consideration of NFL Football betting fans is that Minnesota is has one of the toughest schedules in the 2008-2009 NFL Season. This is one factor that can definitively play a part in this team making the NFC North Championship. All in all, the Vikings are a team that can do two things extremely well, running and stopping a run. If they can get their quarterback in gear, then betting on the Vikings can prove quite profitable.
