Bet the NFL Dallas Cowboys
The Dallas Cowboys had one of the most statistically successful seasons for any NFL team. For online NFL football betting fans, this team was a dream come true with 13 games won, the NFC East Championship Title, a #2 spot in points scored and #3 in total yards. 13 of the Cowboys players went to the pro bowl and all 13 will be playing with the Cowboys in the 2008-2009 Season.
Tony Romo, the Cowboys quarterback, had the best statistical season for any QB in the long history of Dallas. While Romo’s yard and touchdown passes were undeniably exceptional, the fact that he was held on the last four games to the lowest scoring outputs in the entire season makes many Cowboy betting fans doubt their ability to perform under pressure.
For the Cowboys offensive line there are three pro bowlers: Flozell Adams, Andre Gurode and Leonard Davis. All 5 starters from last year return, and there is quality depth behind the starting unit. All and all, the Cowboys have one of the best offenses this season, a major consideration for people deciding whether they should be betting on the New York Giants or the Cowboys.
Last year’s first time Defensive Coordinator coach Brian Steward proved to be a great acquisition. His scheme allowed him to have the Cowboys rank #3 in quarterback sacks for 2007. And despite his own talent, Steward has plenty of quality players to work with. The line backing corps for the Cowboys are almost all top playmakers and they have a strong depth behind their starters.
The schedule for the Cowboys is positioned for good end run, with 4 of their last 6 games at home. All in all, if you are betting on the Cowboys, you must remember that they have nothing to prove in the regular season. Even though they won 31 games in the last 3 seasons, they have not playoff wins to prove it. So if you are betting on a single game, make sure you get some good lines or odds.
