Bet the San Francisco 49ers
San Francisco 49ers betting fans have had one depressing season after the other for the last ten years. Many handicappers have tried to predict their breakthrough game. And just as they have been predicting this for years, 2007 was no exception. Most people betting on the 49ers lost good money last year, and we feel that may very well be true for this 2008-2009 NFL season.
One major concern for anyone betting on the 49ers is the fact that they have had 6 offensive coordinators in the last six years, not a good sign for anyone betting on the niners. San Francisco’s offensive line is also terrible, with four out of five projected starters in new positions. Alex Smith was the 49ers first overall draft choice, and it did not seem like a good choice because his performance has been far from good.
In terms of free agents, that would be the most positive part of the 49ers for this 2008-2009 NFL season. They have picked up Issac Bruce and Bryant Johnson who are excellent players and even though they can put in a good effort they can't single handedly win. As if the news wasn't bad enough, running back Frank Gore has slowly recovered from health problems and has not been much of an asset during the last couple of seasons.
And with no intention of bad-news-mongering, the Niners have a lot to work to do on with their defensive line as well. The schedule for the San Francisco 49ers is again, bad-news, with 6 of their games being on the road, against tough teams. All in all, we don't really recommend betting the 49ers, specially on games when you could be betting agaisn't rivals like the New York Giants, but if you must, remember to get a good line, and some good odds.
